Auckland on a Tee
Design students were challenged to put their mark on Auckland with the Auckland on a tee shirt competition. The competition engaged young designers to develop an iconic and memorable image for Auckland.
The competition was held between 6 July to the 7 August 2009. The number of high-quality entries showed just how exciting local government can be and the passion young designers have for Auckland.
Former Mayor Chris Fletcher, DEgroup designers Edward Fuller and Ferdie Manaois, and Rob Thomas judged the entries based on:
- The creativity and originality of the design.
- An Auckland design that is iconic and memorable.
- Meeting the design specifications.
The awards evening was held at the MagnumMac store in Newmarket on 13 August 2009.
